My involvement in Student Groups on my College Campus led me into the world of print advertising. My assignments were usually requested in the form of "We have money for 11x19 Posters, Postcards, Business Cards and flyers for this event. Robert, do you want to do them? Thanks," or sometimes, "We should photocopy some flyers at the library. Robert, can you make something in the next hour?". I had to work in many different time constraints and for many different formats, with little or no direction. It was quite an interesting Crash Course in the differences of Print and Web design.
