Hi. I'm Robert G.

I'm a twenty-two year old web professional who is currently graduating from Northeastern University with a degree in Computer Science and Multimedia Studies. I'm currently considering other jobs that will continue to challenge me and force me to innovate in the field of web development.

I have been working with PHP for the past 7 years, and in HTML since before I was in high school. The world of Web Standards and what we can do in a browser window has progressed as I have learned and grown up, ensuring that there is always more for me to research and integrate into my work.

I have a very Web 2.0 outlook on websites. I value simplicity and clarity over an abundance of features. There is no point in jamming features into a product if the user does not know how to access them.

Recently I have been using Javascript and Flash to help create more interactive web experiences. Semantic, valid XHTML is important to me, as well as a web page which works on all browsers, and for all people, including the blind and deaf. I also believe that you can do anything in a browser window, given time and ingenuity.

I have a background and interest in design, which helps me work with designers and clients in getting their ideas onto a page. I understand how important it can be for something to be pixel perfect, but I also understand when it is time to explain that certain sacrifices should be made for the user's sake, or that the designer's ideal, perfect design will break when users begin putting in absurd values. I also have a background in English and Creative Writing, which helps me communicate complex technical topics clearly to clients, as well as in writing documentation.

Please explore this selection of my works. More is available upon request, as well as demonstration of some back ends I have built. I am available for employment beginning in May. I can be reached at
